Another friend gone.. Cirrhosis..

He started feeling terrible in January.. Went to the doctor and got hit with Stage 4.. He was obese and a heavy drinker but a great person! I never even knew he drank at all.. Amazing how cunning this disease is.. Went from 325 to 150 when he passed last week at age 43..

Sorry to hear that. I always felt like my days where numbered when i drank. I smoked couple packs a day drank 15+ beers a night and was 275lbs. I figured any day I'd stroke out or something. Hearing stories like yours tells me I was probably not far off from the truth.

I'm sorry for your loss. Yes alcohol consumption is a toxic substance and does cause about 80,000 deaths a year. It can be overcome at no cost by just not consuming it, simple but not always easy.
