Afternoon slumps

I've twelve days sober, getting the best sleep of my life and feeling great. The only issue I have is feeling tired to the point of sleeping every afternoon, say three o clock ish. That's usually my cue to take a pre workout drink and get to the gym to throw some weights about but today I had a half day from work and just passed out for four hours. Do you think this is my body getting back to "normal"?

I would check your diet. Do you eat a lot of carbs, sugar, caffeine??

Get used to it. Being constantly tired is your new norm.

Diet bang on as I'm addicted to bodybuilding, always been a gym monkey but now I'm all over it ha ha. I do drink a lot of caffeine in the morning so that may be the issue. Thanks

I am training for a marathon so I'm always checking my diet. A month ago I did something called a whole 30, where I basically eliminated sugars. I ate meat, fruits, veggies, some nuts and healthy fats. It really helped me to figure out some things that were causing me problems. Like dairy causes me to have extra mucous and congestion in my head causing headaches. Yuck. I've slipped back to some old habits since but plan to do another Whole 30 soon and then stick closer to the Paleo diet after it is over. I also am a coffee addict and really really want to kick it to the curb. I'd like to just see how I feel when detoxed from caffeine it's been so long.

Thanks, yeah I'll have to knock the caffeine on the head I think. Good luck with the marathon
