Here's what works for me
This is my life: Working on who I am by listening; learning and putting what I learn into action. Every day I need to remind myself I am an Alcoholic. I need to understanding what that means to me and understanding where that firs drink could lead me…again! Then I need to turn my life over to God. Live for today and putting my new found knowledge to action is vital to my recovery. Things like reading, praying & reflecting. Doing 12 Step work and understanding my limitations; triggers and just being mindful of my emotional condition throughout the day. For example: do I feel worried about something? Then asking what am I worried about? Is it in my control? Is it something that has happened already or am I worried about something that hasn’t happened. Then LETTING IT GO! Seems to be working so far......
