One week
I'm one week sober!!!! So it's been a week and I'm feeling great. I look forward to many more weeks and months of this feeling. I love getting up early and not having a hangover. Being able to keep my commitments and not backing out do to the fact I'm at the bar or to hungover from the night before. I also like going to lunch and not having that one beer that turns in to a 2 or 3 day bender. This probably wasn't the easiest weekend to stop drinking with all the Labor Day party's going on but it was time for a change and I couldn't be happier.
Congratulations, polk! It really is nice waking up without a hangover, isn't it?! Keep going - it only gets better!

When is a GOOD time to get sober? There is always an excuse to drink! The reason for sobriety and getting sober is to live life without the need or want to drink! I love seeing sobriety work in others. Ride that pink cloud! Don't sit on a pity pot if you ever descend off of that pink cloud, it is normal. It's at that time where you really need to reach out for help. The toughest thing for me was admitting that I needed help to live everyday, but once I overcame that idea, i understood what a fellowship really was.
