100 Reasons to stay 100% sober:

For those that have been following my threads, I need some encouragement. Today I started jotting down notes as to why I want to be sober.... and stay that way. No relapses, no falling off the wagon.

So I thought it would be helpful if we all pitched in and made a thread of all the good reasons to stay sober. I will go first.

100 Reasons to stay 100% sober:

1) I cannot be the father to my children that I need to be if I am drunk.

15 not having to buy bottles of wine at full price to replace the ones hubby bought half price the week before on special offer ( and which he didn't know I had then drank )

17. Dont have to feel judged by the cashier when buying groceries as theres no alcohol just healthy food so no stigma

Every morning when I do my prayers/ meditation I follow the AA one day at a time concept and consider at least one bad aspect of my long term and varied forms of alcoholism.

Sort of the reverse of what you are

doing!
