Being honest

I have to tell my dad about my last relapse I had around Easter time. I was avoiding it forever but sponsor and friend talked to me about doing it today so I am next week I am making amends to him and telling him about my relapse that I had this April so far 100 days sobriety. I'm really scared to do this but I have to work a good program and be honest it is eating me up on the inside. He completely trusts me now and this I know will destroy it. But I chose to drink and I have to accept that if it happens.

Good for you. I am sure once it's over you will be relieved and your dad will be happy you told him.

Good for you! Just remember you can't control his reaction. Just clean your side of the street and move on. Also keep in mind to make amends does not mean you are "sorry." It means you intend to make a change. Either way it is hard to admit wrong and begin change, so good for you
