Talking about alcohol.
I noticed this weekend that I really just do not want to be around people talking about alcohol. Like different wines or beers or mix drinks. It bothers me.
I spent a year sober in 2011with the full intent of drinking one day again and I did, resulting in a full blown relapse and almost a full collapse of my life. Now at 3.5 months sober I'm facing the fact that I will never be abl to drink again ever. This only bothers me when im around people drinking or people talking about it.
I am a strong determined person and won't slip or relapse but I must say this is tough. A large part of my social gatherings with family and friends revolves around drinking, it sad that I don't even want to be a part of that anymore. I would rather do something else then hang out with my family. I feel uncomfortable and don't even want to be around them. Does anyone else feel this way?

That is why I now hang out with people who seldom talk about drinking or people who have enough recovery to know it is not about not-drinking.
I find that the best family gatherings involve doing things like hiking, whitewater rafting, or even just playing board games or cards. I think that it is perfectly reasonable to not want to just stand around and drink. Especially with family. That is a recipe for fights and drama.
