I just completed step 10 with sponsor today 102 days sober. before I relapsed I had 10 months but this time it is a whole lot better I am actually working the steps this time. I was the first time but I was really slacking. I was talking to my sponsor today about sponsoring and she told me I could after I completed the steps and felt ready to. I told her I wasn't ready to sponsor yet I would have to have a year sober. My previous sponsor was very young in sobriety and we both relapsed around the same time. Sponsor agreed with me that I needed time to adjust to my new job and focus on my sobriety for awhile but that I would be ready eventually. She started sponsoring at 6 months and has 37 years sober today.

Was wondering what peoples opinions on sponsoring? Is it too soon before a year to sponsor?
