Interesting Article on how we describe drinking

Interesting article on how the words people use to describe their drinking behavior can say a lot about how they perceive drinking in general.

I always described myself as being "smashed". Someone else described me as being "all f*ered up".

Interesting that the gender-specific language we use can influence how we perceive we should drink! Im sure I used words like wasted and p****d. And they only imply one goal! And like the article describes, I overestimated how much my college peers were drinking. The university did a survey on its homepage of students. About 40% didn't even drink! I think about 1-2% drank over 10 units a day like me.

I didn't start drinking until well into my 30s. Started with insomnia. I always said I "slept" after drinking. Others described me as being "passed out." I now agree with them.
