Hi All,
Blimey, I've not been able to get to the computer for a few days and I can't believe how much advice and support you have all given. Thankyou.
Anyway, today is my forth day sober and god I feel amazing. I'm Jessica again, I'm enjoying my kids and my husband and my life. The few side effects that have been a headache and nightmares are nothing in comparison to the hangovers, shakes and sweats when I was drinking.
I'm not saying it's easy, it's tempting to buy a bottle and I've dreamed about booze but I'm not going back there again.
Also, all the problems that I was using as an excuse for drinking in the first place don't seem half as bad. I've still got issues I need to sort out but I know it's possible now. So it's one day at a time but I'm feeling strong and just keep remembering how bad the alcohol made me feel.
