30 days....me??

30 days clean and sober. When I actually think about it, I cant believe it. Longest stint of sobriety I've ever had. I thank you all here at st for your words of wisdom and support. Ive been tested several times recently and prevailed. I would just keep "playing the tape" eevery time I had the desire (which honestly is still daily) I've been proactive in coming up with me hobbies. I bought a ps3, started running, dieting and spending more (sober) time with my wife and kids which is amazing. I still have a long way to go, but I'm grateful as I finally get it this time. I can not drink now or ever. If I do ever drink again it will be MY choice and MY fault. I dont have to pick up that first drink, once I do

.all bets are off. Ill post later from my computer (on my phone so once again I apologize for the run on paragraph)

Wonderful news, Weaver. 'Playing the tape' worked for me, too when I first came here (thank you Dee). It feels so good when we get over those hurdles.

This is the way it happens Weaver. In recovery I surprise myself on the upside not the downside.

2 years later I am still kicking
