Day 3 for the 2nd time (in the last 7 days!!)
Yesterday was a good day. Held the cravings back. Its hard when every where you go people are unloading cases of beer for the holiday celebrations.
One of my hobbies is astronomy so I stayed out with the telescope to about midnight, was in bed by 1am. Got to see Saturn and its rings, a shooting star and I had a sattelite fly across the scope while viewing. I couldn't enjoy these things unless I was sober, so I was encouraged some.
Up at 7am. Feeling pretty good, had some coffee and breakfast. I will need a nap later on, I can tell.
Wife sent me on a grocery run so I picked up a six-pack of club soda and a few different flavors of seltzer water. I will give that a whirl around lunch when the cravings will start again. Should give me something to sip on.

orion hay great job Bro. i was like you i had to uptake a new hobby to replace drinking. astronomy, cool deal, as a kid i was in a astronomy club and i thought it was so interesting. i saw the rings of saturn also, milky way, several planets, and of course the moon.
Yeah, its a neat hobby. But like anything else it can be a money pit. Hence the reason I figured out what I spent a week on liquor.... now I can use those funds toward a respectable hobby.
Motivational, at least.
