Hm, and it appears you are also a little bit lost, since you are posting on the Friends and Family Forum.

I recommend that you put the plug in the jug, get to a meeting, and get a sponsor. If you have enough time to drink to unwind after work, you have time to get to meetings.

I moved your thread Trio.

I think it's really easy to roll with the current once we started drinking again - it's really easy to get swamped too.

We need to make time for our recovery if we want to stay sober - that's the bottom line I think. No short cuts.

The problem with drinking to unwind is I never drank that way.

I drank to get wasted.
That's a bit too unwound, yeah?

find better ways to deal with your stress, Trio.
This way is a dead end.

Hi trio. 'Life is much better when not drinking' - your words. You are so right. I hope you'll get back on track and give yourself another chance. We know you can do it.

You said it u're self that drinking sucks & u're right! As Lexi said, if u've got time to drink, then u must have time for a mtg. The bottom line is we make time for what we want to do. So working, family etc are NOT valid excuses when recovery is hanging on the balance
Keep comin back
