32 - Wasted so much time bingeing and I actually fooled myself for a while thinking that it was just normal behaviour - and I was too young to have an alcohol problem!! Nice to see many people in my age bracket

32 here - cannot believe how quickly my problem escalated from having a glass of wine with friends, enjoying dinner and conversation to drinking bottles! of wine every night by myself, isolating from everything I knew and enjoyed. Sad.

Hey......! I (don't) resemble that remark.......lol In fact, most of my recovered friends are in their late 50's (a few) and 60's (most). You know the old saying..........how does one get long-term sobriety? .....don't drink (use), and don't die...................

Newly 38 here. At first glance it seems to indicate 'the olds' are in the majority. But taking a closer look, it appears that the majority of people on this board are under the age of 45 (56% under vs. 44% over). Looks like this board has a good mix of solid experienced vets and talented young hopefuls - sounds like a winning team eh?

26...For a long time while I was drinking I knew my age but never really knew what it was. That **** is still blows me away.

6 months sober and truth be told. I've never had it so good.
