A whole flipping month!

I did it, you guys! I made one whole month clean, dry and sober! I look forward to many more more months, years, a lifetime of sobriety!
It hasn't been nearly as difficult as I thought. It's like I walked through the door of sobriety, shut it, and I'm not looking back! I feel so clean, and beautiful and grown up.
I try very very hard to not beat myself up about drinking away the first four years of my son's life, but the past is past and I have a bright sparkling future to look forward to.
I cannot repeat the mistakes of my alcoholic parents with my child.
My husband, who had made it very clear that my drinking was going to lead to a divorce and nasty custody battle, well last night he and I even talked about buying a home in the future.
This is amazing!
I wish you all the best. Thanks to this forum for all the help and support!

congratulations
that sounds like such a blessing has taken place for you

I have been down this sober road a few times
now may be a good time to work out a steady Program so as to work
every time that I let up on my Program
I slowly slipped back to my old ways

many blessings sent to you

Thanks, I know that while this month has just been "easy," there is never a good time to "slack off" and let my guard down. I still read and re-read all the books that helped me dry up, also I find that keeping a journal and rereading it really helps, as well. Also, a close family member is struggling to quit drinking and by helping him I'm really helping to reinforce my AVRT. (but I am careful to not push AVRT on him, I'm trying to help him find the key that works for HIM.)
