Introducing Myself
Hey guys,
I've been reading this forum for awhile now and thought I should begin interacting.
Basically I've been sober for a few weeks now, and started weaning off booze about two months ago. I've been drinking basically 3 years strait ex. Wake up drink, keep drinking all day, fall asleep, wake up drink and repeat, in that time I managed to:
Lose my Job
Lose my gf of 6 years
Totally ruin my career which was going amazing before I went all drunky
Make my family incredibly concerned for me
Lost a ton of weight and my health went way down hill
I eventually stopped weaning off booze when I started feeling more normal and just went cold turkey and had a horrible week, as of right now I actually feel fine, and have just been drinking a ton of different types of tea when I want to get drunk just so i have something in my hand. Seems to be working. Also just thinking of how badly I messed up is a great way to kill my cravings.
I also quit smoking cold turkey, suprisingly that was much easier.
Anyways thats me, look forward to contributing to the site
