Landscaping replacing Beer? Who'da thunk it...

So there I was crouching on the hillside planting yet another Carpet Phlox when my therapist popped in my head. "So you're still not drinking but nothing has changed, what are you going to do to fill the time? You can't just leave it empty."

I let out a little grin as I patted the enriched soil down on the plant and took a look around the yard. My wife twenty feet below me preparing the other plants surrounded by all the other ones already in the ground. I was actually enjoying gardening and I couldn't believe it. We live at the top of a hill facing west over the valley with a clear view of the back mountain. Quite the Vista but I never soaked it in as much as I do now.

I suppose it's all about gaining appreciation for what you have it light of it all. My thought process changing from week to week as I get farther along and finding other ways to get the dopamine that the Beer once provided.

I have to admit as I finished up for tonight I had a brief "reward" craving for a beer but a Coke squashed that once I got inside. I was just plain thirsty being out in the heat digging holes.

Now to sit back watch a little TV with the Lady and then off to bed to do it all over again. Sober...

Have a great night everyone.
