I'm on my iPad...
Met a friend tonight...went into the bathroom to throw up. Threw up blood, manned up and went back out. Finished my beer.
I'm going to lose my wife, my dog, and my life if I don't stop.

Hi and welcome Scout Ball - it's probably going to be a little slow here today with the holiday, but there are people around - and there will be more
You'll find a lot of approaches and schools of thought here, but first things first....I agree with Jim that throwing up blood is never something to ignore - I hope you'll go to the ER or see somebody ASAP.

Thanks so much for responding...
As per usual, my wife had no idea I was sick. We've had a bit if a row...but all is quiet now.
I don't drive when I drink.
That doesn't mean I can't ruin some lives. I'm well on my way...I just need to talk. Find where I can go. I have to stop. The joker ass party boy is over, it's gone too far. I am an ******* when I drink, and I need to drink to feel normal. I need to stop. And fast.

I didn't mean to be an a hole by saying I was on an iPad...just that I couldn't type. Or, spell. I just need a place to go. Somewhere. Cause it's over. If I don't do it now, it's going to be the end. And not just physically.

I didn't think you were being an ahole, I was just commenting that I too am on my iPad.
If you are serious about quitting why not call drug and alcohol services in your state/country? They should be able to point you to a doctor and other services to help you.
Your wife might forgive you if you make a commitment to quitting. Things will start to look up when you quit.
AA might be able to help too? I don't use their services but others on here swear by them.
I have to sleep now as its nearly the middle of the night here, but keep your chin up. The pain goes away when you quit!

Scout, would you do me a favour today please if you get chance?
Will you go on you tube, type in 'rain in my heart' and watch it and come back and let me know what you think?
Do you think you could do that for me?
There are a number of episodes, pick a few, when you have a few moments spare and watch them.
And the reason?
Because we care here, we understand, we know.
My best to you xx

Hi Scout and welcome!
I know where you are and what it feels like to want to quit but feeling like you can't. There are so many paths to follow that lead out of addiction. Don't drink in this moment, you can do that right? Don't think about not drinking ever just don't drink now.
And if you want to interact with others physically then search for AA meeting close to home: you will probably find tons. Although AA isnt my path I find that I liked being in a room with people like me. Life gets so much better when you are sober for a while.

Lots of help out there if you seek it. Get checked out, then hit a meeting - get some face-to-face time with people who have been there, or are there still. You're right - you don't have to be running over people out there on the road to ruin lives. Take it from me - it gets worse, never better, and you're lucky to be only having a row with your wife. it could be worse.
Wishing you the best.
