Help, this is my first day...
Hello,
My name is Eric and I have a problem with Alcohol. I drink every night since losing my job 3 years ago and I have to stop. I have lost my spark for life and this morning I couldn't even get out of bed I was so depressed. A little voice inside my head said, "Get up...go online...get some help and great things will come of it." So here I am, day one, and look forward to hearing from anyone who has the same problems. I think by sharing our struggles we gain a sense of community, something I have also lost by my drinking. I wish to have a closer relationship with my family and friends whom I have essentially tuned out with my drinking. Help, this is my first day!

Welcome Eric,
I am also new to sobriety and feel very supported on this forum. Because you quit in March, why not join the 'Class of March' thread. You can find it in the 'Newcomers to Recovery' forum.
We are very supportive and all started our sobriety this month. Go and read some of the post and you will see.
