Not getting enough sleep
It takes me 3 hours to fall asleep when i'm not drinking and I'm so tired all the time. I'm up at 6.30 so I am only getting 5 hours of sleep.
When I am drinking I fall asleep as soon as I lay down and I get a perfect 8 hours of sleep every night.
I was not drinking enough to be dealing with major hangover's and I only drank later on, close to bed time.
Have any of you dealt with this? Do you have any advice for me? (Btw I am not taking caffeine)

And if you want to quit drinking, we can help.
It's really normal to find it hard to sleep when you first stop drinking. I think everyone goes through it. I would persevere with abstinence from alcohol and create a night time routine designed to relax and wind down. Turning off the tv, computer and phone in the evening has helped me wind down. I stay revved up if I watch tv or surf the internet until it's time to go to sleep.

As tigerlili said, yes it's very very common. It will occur for a while after you've been sober.
I found in early sobriety that exercise helps a lot! It's definitely one of the less pleasant things to deal with, but it improves a LOT and soon you'll probably be sleeping better than ever!
Alcohol completely disturbs our natural sleep patterns!
