Hi all - ill be a year on Wednesday. Our good friend passed away last week and the funeral is today. The wake was last night. He was on my amends list, and I was able to make amends to him last night. These are friends of ours for 20+years.

During dinner after the wake, the guys all got smashed. I was able to make amends to another, actually only because he made amends to me first. I wasn't going to because I thought it wasn't the place, but god had other plans.

The wife of our friend that died was saying that it was a shame how we fought (me and him). I felt terrible. I was not the person I am today, and thank the program for all that its given me.

There's NO way I'd be sober through this without it. Please pray for us today.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's amazing though that you were able to make those amends on that day...God's timing indeed...isn't it always?

Regrets don't serve us. What you did was what you needed to do, and letting go is part of growth.
