It popped into my head to buy drink
But I didn't, thank heavens.
i was sitting chatting to a friend when these thoughts came into my head all of a sudden.
We were in a cafe, near the big supermarket where we meet, and I often call in the shop for some groceries, and I had that same old feeling about what (booze) to buy, how much, etc etc.
Anyway, I told myself not be so stupid, and I did manage just to buy a few items of food, and that was it.
THe other pleasant surprise was at the checkout when the bill was far lower than what I'm used to paying!
Day three, and I'm ok.

hey that happens to me still year and half in.
i was shovelling the snow and when i got in thought i should warm my innards.
i remembered how i used to do that, but then shovelling and everything else was done for the day.

Thoughts come and go in sobriety....like Dee said, it's how we respond to those thoughts. It took me some time to understand that just because I think it, it doesn't make it so, or right.
