Congratulations on your 18 hrs. sober, bnmbh. I remember feeling so stressed driving past the liquor store. Now I don't think a thing of it. Things will get better and easier.

Keep it going bnmbh

I had trouble sleeping for the first week or so - never sleep worth a lick the first night.
Hope your experience will be better

If you want medical advice or feel you need help about this it really is best to see your Dr.

Nice. I've had a few of those "first days" and know just how difficult they are. The simple, beautiful truth is: you never have to do it again.

If you have the courage to do the first 24 hours, (and YES, you do have courage) you can keep on doing it, 24 hours at a time.

I am in the same boat. The first day sucks - so depressing. I really struggled through it and had all kinds of unpleasant feelings surface. I hope tomorrow is better.

One day at a time

Great! Keep it up. One day at a time. Or if that's too hard - one minute at a time. Good luck. May God be with you!
