Yea, that's really what I have done. Today is day 100 (at least until midnight) and I have decided that I am doing this for me. I'm not doing it for my wife, my job, my son, Nobody! None of them count! This is for me! I'm saving me! I'm tired of being who I was and doing what I did. Not I put as much tenacity into sobriety as I put into drinking. Thanks for the thread!

Roadking, I like that attitude. If you can say with 100% determination that you will get and stay sober, even if you are the only person ever in the history of the world to do it, I'll wager on you.

I really believe that. There are times when people come around looking for help and say things like "I don't have time to ......" "I can't afford....". As addicts, we are masters of resourcefulness, and I fully believe we can accomplish what we are determined to.
