I can't take it anymore! The conversation or lack there of in this relationship. The lack of real intimacy between two alcoholics has caused me to finally take the bull by the horns and get sober. I went to a meeting tonight and for the first time in a looooong time I had a great sense of hope.

I made an apt for "anger management" at my abf request after we had an incident here at home over me "needing a drink" and his tasks not being finished in time.......

There have been multiple incidents here where we continue to play games, push buttons and violence insues. He still does not see where alcohol aggravates these times.

I believe no amount of counseling will help if we are actively drinking and behaving in this manner. Someone needs to give up control for things to reach a level where we are being heard.

At this point we both are just being selfish.
