Where to go if you just NEED to talk..
Where to go if you just NEED to talk..
Anyone have any suggestions on where to go to really let it all go and spill it all??????
I really feel at this point that that is what I need to do ..I have to move on..I just need to let it all go.
Don't get me wrong I have my HP but I'm just looking for someone, anyone (at this point) that will listen to ME...I listen to everyone else on a daily basis.
I just don't know how much more I can take...give me some clues please.
I just feel that it's more than anyone can deal with, which seems to be the case, everyone thinks they have to deal with it but, all I want is for them to listen... and I know that I really don't want to spill to the world.
Just asking if anyone knows some online place or something. I know I'm going to regret this but there it is in a nut shell.............

In order of effectiveness, IMO:
AA meeting
Unity, the people there are the best listeners I've ever experienced. And if you have any kind of faith in a higher power... well... give it a go Silent Unity
Call AA (212) 870-3400 and tell them you'd like to talk to someone.
If you're christian, a church rectory.
Or as already suggested, put it out here and ask that someone PM you a contact number. Or PM someone who sounds like they have what you want.

AA or NA meetings are great places to find people to talk with. I have also started individual counseling again...it is a great place for me to vent as well as get suggestions on how to deal with my stress and anger. Do you have a hotline available that you could call? If all else fails perhaps you could write it out in a journal. Writing always makes me feel better!
exhausted,
for needing to spill to a good listener, the telephone crisis line is a good place. one does NOT need to be suicidal or any such thing in order to make use of it; the volunteers are usually trained well and know how to HEAR without judging. they will help you sort through, if that's what you want, or help you find other help, if that's what you want.
they're worth a try for sure. if the first person doesn't work for you, wait a couple of hours and someone else will be on shift.

An open meeting of AA is where it is open to anyone - alcoholics make up the majority, but friends and family of alcoholics are free to come, or anyone who is interested in the program in one way or another. It is usually a speaker meeting, which means there is a main speaker who shares their story with everyone.
A closed meeting is strictly for alcoholics and for those who think they might be alcoholics. These meetings are discussion meetings, usually literature based, and everyone is free to share on a topic or reading.
