I slipped
I thionk most of us looked at what we needed to do and lost our nerve at some time or another Paul.
You've had some great advice over your several threads - I think it would be wise for you to think some more about some of the suggestions you've gotten
perhaps think about what you're prepared to do, not what you're not

Hi Paul,
Don't let it get you down. You know what to do. One day at a time. You lost that round but the fight ain't over. Today is a new day. Every morning make that commitment for the next 24hrs. Just for that day. Let tomorrow bring what it may, but today I'm not drinking or taking. Guilt is normal but it'll pass.
Courage.

I slipped many times, paul, but now I have almost 5 yrs. The last time was it for me - I was fed up and disgusted with the whole thing. It was exhausting. We know you can do it - never give up on yourself. We believe in you.
Hey, I'm just coming back from having almost five years, and I am starting anew. You can do this. Nice to meet you. Sorry about the "slip", I relate, I am angry, sad, but also empowered by the fact that I am doing MANY THINGS to get back on track. My very, very best to you.

I have not slipped myself yet but I've felt myself sliden many times i need constantly remind myself of the goal. I could be having a bad day a bad few hours etc.. and sooner or later it dawns on me HEY why am i thinking this way!! and i gotta lift myself back up. I get mad too that it doesnt dawn on me sooner even.
You are not the "Lone Ranger", many others slip up. Takes guts to admit it to the world and this forum. High fives to you.
Please use it as a lesson as to what to do next time the temptation arises.
We are all weak in one way or another.
