A New Year's Resolution....SoberRecovery.com activity. Maybe I can share something cool at least once this year....

I haven't been tempted, but lately I've been popping into chat. Somewhere along the journey, I've forgotten what it's like to be 100% new here. Pancake called me something the other night...she called me an "oldtimer!" I certainly have never felt that way, I call myself a "toddler." I'm so new at this compared to some. But then it occurs to me...why am I not as active as I was when I had a year? Six months? Why am I not as available to people? I used to meet people passing through town for dinner or coffee. Even though I'm sober, is it just that old selfish alcoholic mind working again? The things I think about these days...

Kinda scared me friends. In 2013, I'll be in chat more. If you're in ABQ, don't hesitate to hit me up.

I don't think you're being selfish, BUT I know that staying involved helped me. Doing nothing but admissions at work and school ONLY hasn't helped, in fact that was my excuse. "I'm working so hard, where's my release??" I think we both know that no matter who you are, how far you've been, how long you've had, you NEVER have this licked.

As for me, it's always good to see you, toddler or old-timer. Ha ha!!! :P
