Day 3 sober

Hi, my name is Diana. I'm a 64 year old grandmother. I have 10 grand children and 2 great. I have been a heavy drinker for about 35 years. I'm so lucky that I don't look old as I should. I have been sober 3 days now. Today I feel good. My eyes are clear. I still have a headache but not so bad. Detox at home was scary. I'm over weight but not worrying about that right now.
I was reading about a 101 year old woman who walks a mile a day after lunch. That could be me. I could live for 37 more years healthy or die a drunk.
Which will you choose?
Diana

I'm over weight but not worrying about that right now.
I myself had to not worry about a LOT in order to keep my sobreity. For me that was a good strategy. as life got easier staying sober i new i had to make more changes. I'm over a year sober and i've lost over 100lbs by changing my diet and walking etc..

One day at a time one step at a time. You might find yourself antsy wondering what the heck to do since your sober well go for a walk thats what i did. Gave me time to think and paid off in so many other ways.

Congrats on the 3 days too!

Glad to see you back on track, Diana. Great job on 3 sober days. This time, you don't have to go back to that old misery. You can get well and healthy - and yes, live to be 101.

Good for you, Diana! You can plan on enjoying those children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
