is it normal.....

as ive said in other posts, i have been drinking for about 6 years and after two failed attempts im convinced that this time is the one when i finally quit, the problem is im only on day one and ive got alot of aches and pains, the center of my abdomen hurts but i believe that is the gastritis but i also have a pain on my right side just below my armpit which ive had for 2 days but i think that may be a pulled muscle, i just tend to get pains to the left and right of my chest and tonight is my first night not drinking and im getting them on and off, when i was not drinking loads in the first year i got a lot of pain on my left side of my chest but after convincing myself it was my heart it turned out it was my anxiety causing it, im so confused as to if this is normal, i would love to just go see the doc but i have a real problem going there and staying in the waiting room because of my anxiety.

sorry for the long message but has anyone had experiences like this?

thanks for reading

Your right side could be your liver, but you really need to go see your Dr.

Hi Paul

None of us are doctors and we ask that people not ask for or give medical advice here

It really is in your best interests anyway to see your Dr if you're concerned....why not set your mind at rest?

I can relate to the anxiety of doctors because I have the same.

Unfortunately You should face your fear and go. Not going creates anxiety also.

Good luck, you can do this If I did. Take deep breaths when waiting

I had a lot of things that I didn't think I had and didn't have things that I thought I had. It was only seeing the doctor and being honest with him did I get the tests I required.

Good luck

Whatever it is drinking is not a cure for it. The early days can be intense.
