any youngins out there?

seems like there's a lot of the older crowd here. nothing wrong with that but anyone in their earlier twenties that utilize the site?

Too stay on topic, its still day one but actually posting here has giving me more hope then I've even thought possible.

ha, I'm probably the youngest on here, I'm 20, turning 21 in may. Got into trouble with alcohol the first time when I was 17, When I was 18 about a month before my 19th birthday, through alchohol and drugs I got put on leave from college by the administration with an ultimatum of going to rehab or never being allowed back in. Because my family couldn't afford rehab, (I was on full scholarship for college) I did not return, despite pleading with the administration (it's probably for the best anyway) I now attend a local commuter school, and have been sober since September 23rd 2011, when I was 19. I still feel ashamed every day but it will pass.

That's weird — I wish I'd known about this site when I was 30!

I got sober when I was 17 back in 1977. I can't believe how fast time flys by.

It would have been a lot faster, with a much faster reached conclusion if you had kept drinking!

Im 28 and on day 47. I also wish I would have known about this site 10 years ago but I guess I may not have been ready at that time. It would be good to connect with people around my age for support.

For the youngins....you have your whole life ahead of you so why would you want to waste it with alcohol or drugs?

As an older alcoholic (61) I will tell you this: you never know what might happen. Don't destroy your future before you've even started the journey.

And older folks: we're getting close to the end, but it ain't over till it's over.

I'm 70 but young at heart.
Drunk, dishevelled, mean, nasty, applies to all age groups.
Must admit its harder when you are young............

I'm 25. I had always drank in excess, but once I was of age I would give myself any excuse to drink. A few years of binge drinking was too many.

I'm assuming you're a fan of Eyedea of Minnesota? Hopefully? And I'm in my mid 20s. Posting here does help.
