Hello, all-

I'm "back", I guess? I discovered this place about three years ago during a well-intentioned but short lived attempt at sobriety. I believe I managed a few weeks, then decided I could manage moderation. Then fell off a binge drinking cliff for a long time. Lots and lots of hard living for a while.

Anyway, I successfully completed a 30 day inpatient program a couple of weeks ago and am in an intensive outpatient program here in Houston through the end of the year. Today is 44 days for me! Which is the longest I've been without alcohol in 27 years. Feels good.

Just wanted to reintroduce myself and plug back into this community. I'll need all the help I can find to keep myself reminded that my own thinking won't keep me sober! And I hope I can return that help where it's needed, too.

Welcome! I also recently completed an in-patient program as well as IOP.

81 days here, longest I've ever been sober. I drank for 30 years.

Stick around, driftwood, the SR community is an important part of my recovery, though not the only part.

driftwood, hay congrats.. i am having the problem you once had, i stay sober a few days than i start in moderation again.
