Are you still drinking, Alloy?

Alcohol causes all kinds of problems; don't wait for a life-threatening one to quit.

I didn't have cold feet, but when I was recovering the first time (2010 after years of daily/nightly drinking) I had numb feet, and hands and fingers too, especially through the night. It took months and months for it to go away. Not sure if this is similar to you or not, but thought I'd post anyway.

Wouldn't hurt to see the doc. Could be a circulation thing. (Maybe a magic bag, heating pad, or hot water bottle by your toes at night, and cozy socks day and/ornight, will help in the meantime.)

Yes, this can most certainly be alcohol related. See your doctor.

I removed some posts that contravene our Rule 10 on med advice

Here is the SR Rule in full....

10. Medical Advice: No Posts giving medical advice, medication advice, or psychiatric advice. Do not use the forum to give or ask for professional medical or psychiatric advice. If you are a medical professional, please remember the forums and chat are for peer support only and not to be used for distributing professional medical advice and/or using the forum to represent your professional services. Medical and Psychiatric advice includes giving a diagnosis, treatment plan, medication advice and dosage suggestions, over the counter and natural home remedies that should be approved by medical professionals. Detox can be dangerous and life threatening at times. Please consult with your physician.
I understand that all who shared are well meaning and trying to help - however what happened to you, how you overcame it, or what you think this is may well keep someone else from seeking the professional assistance they need.

We are a peer support group here.

We simply cannot give medical advice. You need to see a medical professional for that.

Thanks for your understanding

Yes, please get a 2nd and if need be a 3rd opinion. It could be so many different things. Anything from a previous 'frost bite' incidence (maybe not remembered because of drinking) to very poor circulation.

Only a doctor can know for sure, especially bring up the 'gray' color.

No matter what it turns out to be, if you are still drinking it will only make this condition worse.

Love and hugs,

Alcohol can cause poor blood circulation. I agree that you should seek a second opinion and be honest with your doctor about your drinking habits.
