I guess u all expected it

I can't get sober. I FINALLY made it to a meeting..........called the first number on my list that they gave me, don't remember the conversation, but feel like I have made myself even a bigger idiot.
I think my mom was an alkie, but I never saw her passed out. My dad died from a head on collision with a "well, guess what?" DRUNK DRIVER. I was 2 yrs old. I am now 47, with a very strong need to get out of this rut. Is there really a higher power?

Windofchange... Yes you can. Lookup the windofchange song on youtube and listen hard ;-)

Can't remember the band, I'm on my phone, and only 3 days in so I'm foggy.

It's an older band,

This is my experience, for you to take or leave as you see fit.

take care,

This is good advice....You can get sober....Do what I did...Find someone that has done it...And is happy being sober....And ask them to show you how they did it...To sponsor you....It's all in the steps.

I've never met anyone who couldn't get sober who didn't want to be, WOC.

I tried off and on for 15 years - I tired different things and finally got the right amount of escape velocity

you can too

No such thing as a hopeless case. I've talked to countless men and women who thought they were as good as dead when they came to AA - just shy of wet brain, etc. and they are incredible examples of AA working.

Don't give up - you're worth it.
