Day 2
Well I made it two days, first time in years I have not jumped into a bottle of vodka. Self detoxing and going to work today. I feel bad lying to work about why I've been off. Monday was spent drunk. Tuesday went to the doctor who told me I would die if I did not quit. Spent the rest of the day trying to find out patient help. No help, but did find a group I am going to Friday. Yesterday spent doing a detox plan and shaking so bad!
Been using a beer thing to handle the heart stuff, hate beer! But it helped me get through the worse of it. I hate everything alcohol has done in my life. I know I was going to lose my job if I didn't quit. Lose my daughters, the list goes on.
For the first time in months my hands are not shaking this morning, thank you Lord! And this site has helped me stay strong. Yesterday when I wanted to go get a bottle I just kept reading this.
Thank you all you are helping! Carol your an inspiration!

Well thank you! Taking LOTS of vitamins, but still not wanting to eat. I did force some Mac and cheese last night. So candy has been my friend. Haha need to put on a little weight anyway!
Congratulations on three days. Seems like you're taking action to save your life. That's great.
What works for me is to think that first drink through to the end and the ramifications it'll bring.
Stay strong, and best to you.
