14 days of drinking

Alcoholism is a disease that loves company, it loves how we destroy everything we value, and it loves how it can exploit us after the weakness has set in. Tomorrow I will get the help I need, and I will stop drinking, this is the end of my own trust in my power over this drug.

This post I hope can reach out to those of you who is sober now, but maybe are about to soon to fall into temptation.

TRUST what is told, is never safe, it will take everything you have now and destroy it while leaving you in misery.

Let's stay strong together!

I've been drinking a bottle of rum ( at good days ) the past 2 weeks, before that I tried my best to drink like a normal person, but it failed (every night) and when everyone was going home I drove to the nearest 24h shop so I could get more

I live in a pretty good country and tomorrow i will get some drugs so I won't get sick when i stop drinking, i think maybe it is a benzodiazepin, I'm not sure, but here addictive drugs are under very tight regulation so the doctors will make sure I won't get addicted.

That's good. Have you made an appointment with your Doctor for tomorrow? Are you drinking now and are you alone?

Have you given up alchohol before? I'm still in the early days and know how difficult it can be, the more support you have the easier it is.

I am alone now, I have my own house to be evil in, that is for the best, right now I'm not very fun to be with.... alcohol lets our worst insanity come about.... all the while we repent...we know we are not evil..

please do talk with your doctor before jumping into drugs
some of those are highly addictive and mixing them with
alcohol is very dangerous.

Yes you too can win over alcohol...glad you are heading that way

Morning Skandi

Sorry I couldn't come back last night, baby crying etc. How you feeling this morning?
I definitely don't consider myself as evil and neither are you! I am a good person recovering from a bad addiction. You are not alone here, we can all relate to you in one way or another .
What are your plans for today?
Please may I ask what country you are in?

************
Just for today I will be grateful for who I have in my life, not what I have
