I went to a back to school party last night. At the same party last year I was totally canned and probably made a proper fool out of myself. I also tried to rent a bike with my credit card to get home (French technology!). Thank god I was too drunk type the numbers into the machine otherwise I surely would have either rode it straight into oncoming traffic or gotten arrested for a DUI.

Anyway, there was a point last night where everyone was heading down the same road (falling down stairs, notably) where I just had to look up at the sky and say to myself, "THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME FROM THIS".

Sobriety is such as gift.

It sure is a gift, specially whenn you look at other prople drinking and think, man I used to look like an idiot like them. LOL!
