Making a goal, but, dont know where to go!
Hi forum friends.I missed coming here for those days,so I had,yes had,to come in here just to tell ya whats been going on.Im still drinking, first of all, second,Im still rippin' myself apart about stopping drinking.Half of me wants to stop, the other part of me does not want no changes right now,Im just not having any crisis at the moment and am not ready to feel uncomfortable by quitting.Anxiety when not drinking? yes big time But when drinking I feel very relaxed and how I think I should feel, anxiety sux.Well,Im not a lost cause,I say at this moment I will NOT drink,TOMORROW..such a familiar phrase in my life Bye
Hi Homer,
Don't beat youself up mate. You're in the same boat as many of the rest of us. The good news is there is a solution for you out there, bad news is it needs finding!
If you do drink tomorrow, it's not the end of the world you're not weak, you've not failed. You're just working on it like I am, like the rest of us are.
But before you do pick the bottle up, do stare that 'friend' alcohol in the eye, and tell it you know its game, understand its ways, and that one day - you know it's you or him. If he really is your friend, he'll understand. What do you recon?

Hi Homer!
Glad to see you back! If you get the chance and have nothing better to do read through the Big Book, I know your not crazy about AA, but perhaps just for the sake of finding some answers it may help. We have it here online in the AA forum in JayWalker's thread "Power Posts".

Hi, Homer,
It sounds as though you are exploring sobriety options. While it would be great to do that sober, there's no reason you can't do what Chy suggested and do some online reading.
Here are some other "places you can go." Please spend an evening or two reviewing these web sites and share your reactions with us.
