Very common symptoms of alcohol withdrawal would be a state of hypervigilance, racing thoughts, a sense of impending doom, high anxiety, noises seem louder etc.etc.

Welcome to Sober Recovery!!! You have found a pretty awesome
site, with lots of Experience, Strength and Hope (ES&H) from folks
who have been where you are, or are where are.

is there anyway to get rid of the symptoms?
Drink lots of fluids, water, gatorade or the like, chicken broth, to help flush
the toxins out of your system. If you feel up to eating, eat fairly bland for
the few days to help your whole digestive track recover.

Then when you do start to feel better, make a decision that you do not like
at all feeling this way, and make the choice to not drink alcoholic beverages
again.

Pull up a chair, pull out your keyboard and start checking out SR. You
will find a lot of VERY HELPFUL information here!!!!

Please keep posting and let us know how your are doing as we do care
so very much!

Love and hugs,

Welcome to our Alcoholism Forum..

Please do check with your doctor about your anxiety issues.
And be totally honest about how much you are drinking.

Deffo withdrawal mate. That Buckie'll do you no favours. I was on it, and filling up on Tennants, ended up being given 3 months to live.
Lifes much better sober. . . . .

Welcome to SR David

As someone who had really bad anxiety from drinking I always recommend quitting as the cure. I tried living in that state of impending doom and it wasn't easy. I'd say a couple bottles of buckfast is enough to cause really bad anxiety, especially with the caffeine content as well. It causes you to crash pretty bad.

Yep, there is definitely a reason we called the stuff "Wreck the Hoose Juice" back when I lived in Glasgow. 8)
