August 27 - Sept 27: 1 month S-O-B-E-R :- ))

Just got 2 new books to read and learn during month 2:" Drinking, A love Story" and "Recovery--the Sacred Art: The Twelve Steps As Spiritual Practice".

I also purchased a new journal to use with the 12 step book. I've read most of the introduction and believe a notebook, pen, and highlighter will be needed. Just based on what I have read of the intro chapter, I know I am going to grow so much while I read through this book.

Enjoying the journey and sure hope you are too!

Have you read Alcoholics Anonymous, yet? That's an amazing read, too! Also Living Sober is great!!

Reading about sobriety and spirituality is great, but living sober is where the real change occurs. It's about action!

Congrats Tammy. You'll love "Drinking: A Love Story". Knapp is a fantastic writer who really hits home with her memoir. Enjoy (if that's the right word) and keep up the great work!

I have the Big Book and have read some of it. I haven't read it cover to cover.

I agree - ACTION is where it is at! I have a strong recovery program and work the program daily adjusting it as needed to meet my growing and changing needs.

"Drinking: A Love Story" is quite good and hits home....a little sad knowing she died a few years ago though.

Congrats on one month Tammy! I'll be there in 5 days! I have been hearing about Drinking: A Love Story and would really like to read it. I also want to read Living Sober.
