on day 9

I think im going to lurk around some meetings and try to find a good one around here. Also try and work the steps. Day 9 is cool, I've been sick with a sinus infection/pink eye the past week, normally I would feel like sh*t being sick but I actually feel great. Guess being perpetually hungover really did suck haha.

Congrats on day nine....What worked for me was trying some different meetings...Finding one I liked and making it my homegroup....Finding a sponsor to take me through the steps...And putting in the work and taking suggestions....My way didn't work...Their way did.

Congrats on day 9.
Finding a good AA group to regularly attend is what saved me.
Good luck on finding one you like, I think that is key.
I was lucky, the first group I attended was a perfect fit.

Like I've said before I've been to a countless number of meetings in different cities. I just gotta stay away from the depressing cliquey ones and find one to work the steps with.

Look up step meetings...Study the book...The directions for the steps are in the first 103 pages...Read it till you understand it....Most important...Find someone that has had a spritual awakening as a result of the steps and have them show you how they did it...It works...I did it.

I dont know what it is about this time quiting. I just feel different about it. The moments I want to drink are more intense yea "you are doing better than you ever have just have a beer theres no problem look at you!" but then the moments where i feel good about the decision i feel like, its a new life going on and I'm actually done.

I know until I had no doubt I was done with drinking....I never had any success with staying stopped. I don't recommend taking it as far as I did....But if you think you still have some drinking in you....You'll probably drink.

Maybe I did.

but then the moments where i feel good about the decision i feel like, its a new life going on and I'm actually done.

I just assumed if you have moments that you are actually done...You'd have moments that you aren't...If I misunderstood that....My bad.

Theres a little voice in my head that tells me I can drink. I am looking to go to meetings and work to steps to make that stupid voice go away.
