they do where I live. Call your local AA number - they can tell you if there are any in your neighborhood.

They sure do. I got sober at a women's meeting. It was great!

Call your local AA office OR you can do a search online. "AA 'name of city'" should help.

You might be pleasantly surprised Kip... I wanted to go to a woman's meeting but there aren't any near me. I think I had some random vision of AA meetings being mainly male..?! I have no idea why, we're all female alcoholics so it stands to reason there'd be more of us out there. Anyway, the meetings I have been to are about 50/50. In some meetings there are sometimes more men and sometimes more women, it just depends who turns up... but it certainly isn't a 'male' environment x

Yes they should have women only meetings. But if there are not, the men at regular meetings are usually pretty well mannered. It is usually helpful to hear the opposite sex side of recovery also.

Many areas do have women only meetings...some do not.

When I started my AA journey to recovery...I asked a dear friend
to come along to help me chec them out and to keep my
nervousness at a low level....

I'm so glad you are willing to explore the benefits of AA
