60 days sober
I'm amazed and grateful. My obsession has been lifted. Although I have many problems to work through and many worries to overcome, I'm doing it sober now. I feel as if a great weight has been taken from my shoulders and never want to go back to the horror that was my alcoholic life.
Congrats John!
"It felt like the chains fell off" Is what Ozzy Osborne said in the documentary about himself (after several years of sobriety), and completely agree. You reach a point to where living sober is such a relief, not having to go through the 'work' we once did to maintain our addiction.

I ripped this part from the docu., it's a short clip but was inspiring to me.

I just read the thread I started in June. Reliving that time was nightmarish. If anyone wants a firsthand look at the unbelievable level of support and caring on this board, read the thread I started entitled "help" on June 2nd. I'm just happy I was able to come back here sober and on the mend.
