Are you still drinking or are you in early recovery? In early recovery, it is very common to feel like your brain is in a fog. It takes time, but will get better after a few weeks.

I'm really glad you will be checking with your doctor...
Please be honest about your drinking habits with him/her.
Wishing you all the best as you move forward...

Good that you will contact your doctor tomorrow. Are you able to eat? Are you drinking plenty of fluids? I hope your doctor is able to help you. Remember, you'll never have to go through this again as long as you don't drink!

are you depressed? brain fog and some of the other symptoms you described can be associated with depression. "Pain and a feeling of pressure are common, most often affecting the head, face, back, chest and gut. The pain is real but caused by depression." (British Medical Assosiation)
cheese1, I'm on Day 14, no booze. I had several days and parts of days where I felt like you do, but this weekend, it finally began to clear up. You just have to wait it out, I think. Outlast it. What was nice about today was that I had energy. I didn't just crash at the end of the day and crave a drink. I expect to have plenty of other days where I crave a drink, but at last I am over the first Big Hump. It totally sucks, at first.
