Hi all, its been four days since my nearly a week long drinking binge ended and I'm having bouts of depression through out the day. Before this binge I went a year maybe longer with no alcohol..Whats up with these sad feelings 4 days later? I had about 2 hours of feeling happy today after I rode my Harley for the first time in two weeks but after that I was right back into ths terribly sad feeling..I keep thinking is my life going the way I want it? And I'm having a bad case of the 'what ifs'..

You are finishing up this current de tox period...IMO

Many drinkers expereince spels of depression and
mixed feelings in early sobriety.
Perhaps you did not notice this before in your earlier de tox?
And ....it's true...not all de toxes have the same symptoms.

I hope this passes quickly and you find lasting sobreity this time

Thanks for the reply..You're right the detox this time is almost totally different than the ones before..The ones before were always the same so I've been able to know exactly when it would be over..

Drink a lot of water...Gatorade is also good to flush out the toxins.
No viker me....but I think a short ride daily would be beneficial
I did walk often ..longer ones when I felt stronger.

My wife bought me 3 gallons of Gatorade and a case of water the first day of detox,symptoms hit at 4 am and she went down then and there and bought it for me..Now day 4 I've drank 2 gallons of the Gatorade and only have 2 bottles of water left..I've noticed I'm chugging them like there a bottle of beer..Must be force of habit to chug down anything I drink...You'd think after going through this detox junk so many times I'd learn..
