AA was a no go last night.

Last night i was soposed to go to my First meeting but no one was there. I stayed strong but now the cravings are driving me absolutely insane. I wish I would have never started drinking in the first place. I'm feeling depressed I feel like I have nothing to look forward to since I quit. I always drank at night to relax and unwind. I loved it but I'm losing control.I have to quit I'm just struggling today. Can anyone plate? Is it normal to decide to quit even though you love it?

Hang in there! I promise it gets better. Perhaps there is a meeting Saturday morning?? Once you get to your first one speak up and you will get some contacts. AA folks love new members

smitty1990, you are blessed to have so many meetings available to you.

Hamilton/Oxford/Fairfield Meetings

I can't remember ever going to a meeting and finding it closed, are you sure you had the right time and place?

All the best.

As your life improves, you'll feel happier about choosing to be sober. And the cravings diminish with time so stay strong!

Yep, I loved it enough to loose money, jobs, relationships, my mental and physical health, my freedom, and my self respect for it.

It does get better, Smitty. I am only 8 weeks sober, and I have to tell you that it is getting better already. Give it a chance, it takes time and you will see
