That was beautiful and well said. It's almost exactly the path I have experienced and how alcohol became my daily dose of drowning out emotions from childhood to adulthood. It's comforting to know others can understand my journey. If you can be successful, so can I. Thank you for sharing.

posting here has been a largely selfish endeavor of mine, and this site sort of my last place to turn when there's nowhere left to turn. but i've benefitted greatly from the wise counsel i've found here, and i'm thankful for the space it's given me to be heard and understood... so it makes me smile to think that this thread might somehow be a comfort or a help to you as well.
