Today I am a week sober.

Today I am celebrating a week sober. I see the past me and past life and never want to go back. What a dreadful place that was. Delusional insane drunk. I think I'm FINALLY getting through to my wife when it comes to drinking. My heart can't stand anymore heartbreak that I've endured in my marriage because of alcohol. I feel hopeful.

Brandon, Navy, I know it takes huge courage to face this head on, accept the whole no drinking aspect of drinking, and move forward with your life.

I found support from others to be very helpful to me during the first couple of weeks, and I still do like the support aspect. Please consider sharing your experience and strength with other newcomers - the hope that you can share can make all the difference.
