got my 9 month chip at a meeting and I'm feeling pretty good with all things considered. i was stressing out a bit a few weeks ago about being so close to 1 year but talking to fellow AA's at meetings has helped me put things in perspective. i guess the next step now is to start doing the steps, i dunno how i'm going to find time to do this though since I'm going to be super busy over the next month or two preparing for my insurance licensing exam...

anyway its good to be sober, feels like I've come a long way from where I was when I started

Congrats! We have a way to deal with that one year and over crowd and it is the one year and over club! I look forward to seeing you there in three months. Don't worry about feeling it is a long way, 9 months looked positively impossible to me when I quit. The two years before detox I could not get one day sober alone. Just let it happen, it will feel natural. Keep posting!
