Benefit of sobriety
My family invites me to accompany them on family functions now that I'm not a raving drunken lunatic .
We're heading to Niagara Falls for 3 days (wife, kids and granddaughters and me). See you all Thursday.
Take care. All the best.

Spending time with family is a benefit I'm starting to appreciate in sobriety. During my drunkeness, I would try and avoid them as much as possible, for various reasons.
Hope you have a great time at Niagra! I remember distinctly visiting when I was 14 and it being absolutely amazing, but unbearably freezing at the same time. Ice age!

i realized last night i'm probably about has healthy as i've ever been in all of my adult hood life. since ever since i was 14 or so at least i was on some kind of substance.
I'm having an interesting time adjusting. Somethings with my body I find myself asking why and realizing perhaps this is what sober people who dont abuse there body feel like.
Its been so long i dont remember what life being a typical human that remains sober is like. So its almost like a brand new life for me.
